Charles B. Lanier, Jr., CLU, ChFC, an estate and business-planning principal with Fuller, Frost, Lanier Wealth Management LLC. He graduated from the University of Georgia in 1971 with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (BBA) majoring in Finance. He earned his master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Augusta State University in 1979. In 1990, he was granted the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designations by The American College. He retired as a Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserve.
Prior to becoming a financial planner, Mr. Lanier served first as an Army officer and later as a bank trust officer with Citizens Bank & Southern National Bank (now Bank of America). He is past president of the Augusta Estate Planning Council, past president of the Augusta Chapter of the American Society of Chartered Life Underwriters, and past president of the Augusta Chapter of the International Association for Financial Planning. In addition to serving on the Xytex Board of Directors, he serves on the Board of the Simpsonwood Conference and Retreat Center in Norcross, Georgia. He is active with the Boy Scouts of America and is an active layman in the United Methodist Church
